In celebration of Immigrant Heritage Week we’re honored to partner with the New York Times Latino Network to present the panel:
American Dreamers: The Immigrant Artists’ Voice in the USA
Join online the wonderful panelists: Sita Chay from Flor de Toloache – Mariachi Femenino, original DREAMer Tereza Lee, Itawe Correa from Locos Por Juana, Sebastian Noelle from Darcy James Argue’s Secret Society, and DREAMers pioneer Juan Escalante from America’s Voice, for a panel discussion about immigrants and DREAMers issues, and music.
Moderated by one of the nation’s leading voices of the Latino and Puerto Rican community, and president of the Immigrant Arts Coalition, writer Marlena Fitzpatrick, the lively discussion will cover their personal immigration story, how their status have impacted their work as musicians, what can be done for DACA and the DREAMers movement, and how art and music have influenced the immigrant narrative in the United States.
