COLLABORATOR (ACTOR/TEACHER)
Massimo Zordan graduated in ’93 at the “Accademia d’Arte Drammatica” of Palmi Calabro (Italy). In ’95 he attended a master class for actors “Ecole des Maitres” directed by Alfredo Arias, Dario Fo, and Anatoly Vassiliev. Since 2001, for 10 years, he has been a core part of the organization and as an actor of the tours Teatridimare, a navigation project theater. He worked in Italy in various tv fiction (“Distretto di polizia”,”Don Matteo”,”Cuore contro cuore”) and national theater productions (La commedia di Candido, Cyrano de Bergerac). Since 1996, he had several workshops with mental disabilities and their families (through projects undertaken with the ASL Cagliari No. 8). Since 2016 he lives in New York where he is responsible, as well as Teacher, of the Theater Department of La Scuola d’Italia Guglielmo Marconi in New York. In 2018 he directed (for La Scuola d’Italia) the short film “La resistenza in cucina” (the resistance in the kitchen) winner of the prize organized by IACE in collaboration with the Italian Consulate of NYC. In 2019 he was awarded “2019 AIAE Teacher of the Year Award” from Association of Italian American Educators and from The State of New York Office of the State Comptroller. Still in 2019 he was Member of the jury of the “Mario Fratti award” in New York. He could be seen in the documentary “Tutti in Scena” directed by Laura Caparrotti, finalist of the Russo Brothers Film Forum 2020.
