Bruce Rabinowitz has served as an attorney, business consultant, sales agent, and producer to a number of international and domestic clients in the television and film industries for 20 years.
Among his current responsibilities are advising RAI Corporation, the service arm of the Italian state broadcaster, Radio Televisione Italiana, on business and legal affairs, as well as representing RAI’s vast catalogue of theatrical films, television programs, formats, sports, musical programming and footage archive to international broadcasters and providers for RAI’s sales division based in Rome.
Additionally, he provides business and/or legal consultation to United Nations Television; IBC, a Los Angeles based international program sales and channel development company, as its Director of Sales; Mediakite, an international television production and development company; Eurocinema, the first North American channel dedicated to international box office titles; and Terra Entertainment; among various other sales, production and distribution organizations.
Mr. Rabinowitz formerly held the post of Vice President, International, at Viacom’s Showtime Networks, where he was responsible for identifying, researching, negotiating, marketing, and launching niche channels for the international marketplace. Prior to that, he served as RAI Corporation’s Director of New Business, as well as Director of Commercial Sales for DLT Entertainment.
For the past 9 years, he has served as a Professor in the Television & Radio Department of Brooklyn College, C.U.N.Y., teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses centered on the global entertainment business and media law.
