MASTERCLASS – “Searching the Truth (in acting)”  Domenica 17 aprile presso il Teatro Azione a Roma Dalle ore 11:00 alle 17:00 (con pausa pranzo) Costi: E 150 (partecipanti esterni) – E 80 (Teatro Azione) Per la prima volta in Italia, la compagnia Bedlam, pluripremiata compagnia teatrale newyorkese, porta il suo metodo, osannato da New York Times e da tutte le testate piu’ importanti d’America, a Roma in occasione dello spettacolo CRY HAVOC. La Masterclass, condotta da Stephan Wolfort, uno degli attori della compagnia, punta sul lavoro di analisi del testo e verità di interpretazione. La Bedlam company è famose per le sue messe in scena basate quasi esclusivamente sul lavoro dell’attore, sulla sua presenza fisica e di parole. I Bedlam lavorano sulla parole cogliendola nel suo significato più intrinseco, incitando l’attore a lasciarsi guidare dalla parola. Essendo condotta in inglese, con traduzione in italiano, la Masterclass consente non solo di lavorare sul testo, ma anche di analizzare la scrittura di Shakespeare nella sua versione originale. L’incontro prevede inoltre un’indagine del play shakespeariano Riccardo III con particolare riferimento al tema della guerra, finalizzata a creare un parallelo fra il testo originale e l’odierno problema dei veterani. La Masterclass è aperta ad un numero massimo di 20 attori professionisti e sarà condotta in inglese con la presenza di un traduttore in aula. La selezione degli attori avverra’ via curriculum. Mario Merone

Mario Merone (an Italian actor, director, playwright and drama teacher).  He is graduated of Silvio d’Amico National Academy of Dramatic Arts in Rome and has a  Bachelor of Arts in Drama at University of Bologna.  He has performed and directed many plays across the Europe including Romeo and Juliet, Schindler’s list, The Wizard of Oz, Miles Gloriosus, A Midsummer Night’s Dream.Mario began volunteering with the Castillo Theatre in 2014.
